Mario Behrens ist seit Februar 2022 als Doktorand (Universitätsassistent) am Fachbereich Politikwissenschaft tätig. Nach Abschluss seines Master of Arts in Global Studies an der Universität Wien und der Universität Roskilde war er für die Vereinten Nationen im Bereich Katastrophenprävention und Klimawandelanpassung in Genf tätig.
Marios Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Internationalen Beziehungen. Hierbei beschäftigt er sich vor allem mit dem Einfluss internationaler humanitärer Akteure auf lokale Konfliktlösungsprozesse im Südsudan.
Mario Behrens joined the Department of Political Science as a PhD candidate (University Assistant) in February 2022. After completing his Master of Arts in Global Studies at the University of Vienna and the University of Roskilde, he worked for the United Nations in the field of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in Geneva.
Mario's research interests are in the field of international relations. In particular, he focuses on the influence of international humanitarian actors on local conflict resolution processes in South Sudan.
