On December 10, 2025, the colloquium War, Democracy, and Civic Agency in Ukraine and Beyond will host a lecture by Dr. Jan Matti Dollbaum (Assistant Professor, University of Fribourg). In his talk, “Perceptions of the super-rich in politics: Experimental evidence from Ukraine and beyond”, he will explore how the role and public perception of the super-rich shape political processes – with a particular focus on Ukraine, but also in comparative international perspective.

The colloquium brings together leading scholars in political science, public policy, and international relations to examine the complex interplay between war, democracy, and civic agency in Ukraine and beyond. It offers students and the wider public the opportunity to engage with current political and social transformations and to enter into dialogue with distinguished experts in the field.
