Curriculum Vitae
Edina Szöcsik joined the Institute of Political Science on September 1, 2017 as an SNF Ambizione postdoctoral fellow. Previously, she was involved in various research projects as a postdoc at the University of Bern and the University of Konstanz. She completed her PhD thesis at ETH Zurich in 2012. In her research, she investigates different aspects of electoral competition in young and old democracies. In particular, she analyses the strategies and reasons behind the electoral success of ethnic/nationalist parties and the influence of party systems on voter turnout.
